Pastor Steve

Steve Behlke is the Lead Pastor of College Church and has been with the Church since arriving with his family from California in 2006. He is the primary teaching pastor, visionary, and leader of College Church. He has a passion for the glory of God’s grace, and for introducing people to a deeper life through a vibrant, living relationship with God through Jesus. Steve’s favorite verse for this season in his life is Acts 20:24: "But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.”

Before College Church, Steve served for 10 years as the Lead Pastor of small but vibrant church in California and saw incredible transformation in many lives. Before that, he served as an Associate Pastor of Discipleship and had a blast for a year as a Youth Pastor in Tempe, Arizona. Steve earned his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spiritual Formation from Fuller Theological Seminary, a Masters of Divinity in Leadership Development from Western Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Arizona College of the Bible.

Steve reads a lot, plays guitar, dabbles at golf, and is an avid college football fan.

Steve and Polly have been married for 19 years and live in Southampton, MA. They enjoy being married and love their family of five, with three growing children (Matt – 15; Keziah – 13; and Rachel – 9). They like good Mexican food, playing games, and the show 24, and are busy with their children’s extra-curricular events.
