Sunday Mornings
As individuals we seek to worship God each moment of every day, yet there is something special about worshiping God in fellowship with other believers as the body of Christ.
While many churches call their Sunday worship
times "services," we use the term "gatherings." Sunday mornings are not a time for the congregation to be served by those up front, rather these are times for the whole church, along with visiting guests, to gather and worship God together as one. We worship God corporately by singing His praise, praying together, being taught through God's Word, and through the love and relationships which we experience together.
We have one worship gathering at College Church each Sunday morning at 10am. The gathering typically starts with a call to worship and the opportunity to sing God's praise, followed by prayer, scripture reading, a time to informally greet one another, followed by the preaching of God's Word, a closing song and a benediction. The musical style can be a mixture of past hymns and more current worship songs. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion together. This gathering lasts until approximately 11:30am.
