It is our desire to be a people who demonstrate the truth and love of Christ to our neighbors. This means helping to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of those in our communities. Each member of College Church is encouraged to live this out in their own neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces. We have also e stablished several initiatives for carrying this out together as a church. Here are a few of the ongoing ways in which we, as College Church, are attempting to be salt and light to those in our communities.
The Gap Program
Each morning most of the local shelters require their residents to vacate their facilities until they are let back in that evening. During the winter months many of these residents are cold and hungry and have nowhere to go. The Gap Program helps to address this gap between shelter times by providing a place for all who need a good breakfast and a warm place to spend a cold morning with a place to go. more
The Healthcare Project (HCP)
Each Tuesday night from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, the Healthcare Project provides free basic medical care to those who are otherwise unable to afford it. Staffed by local medical professionals both from our church and from the community, the HCP strives to provide top quality medical care to all who need it. Service is available on a first-come first-served basis in the Logan House on College Church's campus.
For more information please contact the HCP director, Dr. Don Lundgren.

The Alpha Course
The Alpha Course is a 10 week course designed to give those who are interested in learning more about Christianity a chance to explore this topic with others who are similarly interested. The course is run by those who are very familiar with the subject and are there to help to guide discussions and answer any questions which may arise. Alpha is designed to help people develop their own conclusions and to be a warm and inviting group where all are welcome. College Church runs Alpha courses periodically, please check back on this web site or get in contact with the Alpha coordinator for scheduling information.
For more information contact the Alpha coordinator, Debbie Knight.
